Incorporated in 2014

We've built a powerful should cost engineering platform named xcPEP which is currently in its 4th iteration.

In our history, we have operated in several domains of engineering slowly narrowing down to and then specializing around should costing.

As of 2024

We are dedicated to digitizing cost engineering operations at our customers and supporting them with services on top of xcPEP to help control and reduce manufacturing costs.

  • 2014Incorporation

    Advanced Structures India was established as an engineering services company with initial focus on automotive structures.

  • 2015Benchmarking and Costing

    We added benchmarking & costing in our offerings.

  • 2016Data Handling Platform

    We developed our first data handling platform to capture and manage teardown benchmarking data.

  • 2017Electric Vehicles

    We increased depth of our study of electric vehicles, batteries and cells.

  • 2018Machine Learning

    We increased our machine learning capabilities and call our platform ASI Datalab.

  • 2019Cost Reduction Excellence

    Machine learning capabilities of our platform give exceptional results.

  • 2020Should Costing Pure Play

    We develop our platform from scratch again to prepare for future scale and renamed it xcPEP™. All design and testing services not aligned with xcPEP™ were discontinued.

  • 2021Should Costing Deep Dive

    New xcPEP™ modules brought more sophisticated capabilities. Process improvements helped in scaling up smoothly

  • 2022EV Should Costing Dominance

    Early moves in 2016 on EV benchmarking had given us a head start in EV should costing in 2021. We were engaged in about half the EV products being developed by major players in India. In EV 2 wheelers, our reach was truely global.

  • 2023xcPEP SaaS

    Given the success of our services using xcPEP, we are now promoting xcPEP as should cost engineering platform for our customers. Two major manufacturers with annual direct spend of more USD 1 billion each are now fully running their cost engineering operations on xcPEP.

    Scaling up of managed costing solutions based on xcPEP SaaS platform. Development and release of xcPROC.com procurement platform.
